find a Pub

I think I speak for all of us when I say I felt  utter disbelief when I first saw the amount my Business Rates was increasing by! I simply couldnt believe it, nothing had changed in my business, I  wasnt making  a shed load of more money and I found it hard to get my head around the justification for it, that was because there wasnt any!
Since then I have  been talking to a number of Licensees all over the country and I found out that I, in fact, am one of the lucky ones! My increase was from 12,250 to 20,000. I spoke to a Licensee whose ratable value went from 18,000 to 35,000!  
£1000 relief to ease the pain is not enough, have you all completely lost touch with what the British pub is currently facing. Between supermarkets selling drinks cheaper than we can buy it and the Government seeing us as a cash cow we should be on an endangered list!
Big Pub Companies can weather the stormy waters  but Independents like myself have a huge battle ahead with no port in the storm!
We are being driven a lot of us out of business!
We need a champion, how many more pubs have to close before its recognised that our days are numbered!
