No more plastic strays from 2019?

Plastic straws, drink stirrers and cotton buds will be banned from April next year
An exemption for pubs and restaurants will allow them to issue plastic straws on request. They will be banned from displaying plastic straws or automatically handing them out but will be able to provide them on request under an exemption aimed at protecting people with medical conditions and disabilities.
