(uk) Government publishes first draft of long awaited pubs code

The first of a two part consultation on a new pubs code sets out how the market rent only option will work. The aim is that a tennant tied to a pubco with more than 500 pubs should be no worse off than a free of tie tenant.
Its estimated that up to 13,000 tied tenants will be protected by the code.
